Once you have earned enough points, you can redeem them for gift cards, PayPal payouts, Mystery Boxes, or Mode Mobile Shares. This article walks through the full redemption flow in 5 steps.
Before you start
- Check what is available in your region. Available options depend on where you are — see Understanding Redemption Options in the Mode Earn App.
- First-time redemption requires identity verification. You will be prompted to complete facial verification the first time you visit the Redeem tab.
- Redemptions are final. See Mode Earn Reward Redemption Guidelines for the full policy.
Step 1: Open the Redeem tab
In the Mode Earn App, tap the Redeem tab in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Complete verification (first-time users only)
If this is your first redemption, you are prompted to complete a quick facial verification. This is a one-time process per account. See Completing Facial Verification Before Redeeming Points for details.
Step 3: Browse redemption options
Scroll through the available rewards. Each option clearly shows the point amount required. Options typically include:
- Gift cards — Amazon, prepaid Mastercard, and other retailer cards where available.
- PayPal — direct cash payout to your linked PayPal account (regions where PayPal is supported).
- Mystery Boxes — crypto rewards in the form of $EARNM.
- Mode Mobile Shares — equity in Mode Mobile. See Mode Mobile Shares FAQs.
Step 4: Select your reward
Tap the reward you want to redeem.
Step 5: Confirm your redemption
Review your choice carefully — redemptions cannot be canceled or reversed. Tap Redeem to confirm.
What happens next
- Processing time: most redemptions complete within 2 business days. Allow up to 7 business days before contacting Support.
- Confirmation email: you receive an email when your redemption is ready.
- Gift card codes: typically delivered by email and accessible from your in-app Transaction History. See How to Retrieve Redemption Card Codes from the Mode Earn App.
- PayPal redemptions: sent directly to your linked PayPal account. If you have not linked PayPal yet, you will be prompted to link it before the redemption can process — see How to Link Your PayPal Account in the Mode Earn App.
If a popular redemption option is missing
Redemption availability depends on your location. If an option you expect is not showing, it may not yet be supported in your region. Check the Redeem tab periodically for updates — Mode is actively expanding international options.
