You can update most personal information on your Mode Earn account directly in the app. This article covers what you can change, how to change it, and the one exception for Google sign-in users.
What you can update
Within the Mode Earn App, you can update:
- Email address (with one exception — see below).
- First and last name.
- Date of birth.
- Phone number.
- Home address.
Accuracy matters. Ensure all information matches your official documents. Mismatched information can cause verification issues when you try to redeem points — see Completing Facial Verification Before Redeeming Points.
How to update your information
Step 1: Update the app
Make sure your Mode Earn App is updated to the latest version from the Google Play Store or App Store. Old versions may have outdated Edit Account screens.
Step 2: Open Settings
- Launch the Mode Earn App.
- Tap the Settings menu (usually in the top-right corner).
Step 3: Edit Account Information
- In the Settings menu, go to the Account section.
- Select Edit Account Information.
- Follow the prompts to update any of:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Email address (except Google sign-in)
- Phone number
- Home address
Exception: Google sign-in users cannot change email in-app
If you signed up using Google Sign-In, you cannot change your email address from inside the app. Your email is tied to your Google account.
To change your email, contact Mode Support (Settings → Ask for Support) and request an email change. Support will handle it for you.
Tips for updating your information
- Use official documents. Name and date of birth should match your government-issued ID — this avoids issues during facial verification.
- Double-check contact information. Wrong email or phone number means you miss important notifications (verification, redemption confirmations, password resets).
- Use a stable internet connection while updating. Partially-saved updates can cause data mismatches.
- If you are changing your phone number, expect to re-verify via SMS.
