If you no longer wish to use the Mode Earn App, you can permanently delete your account. This article covers what deletion means, how to do it, how to cancel if you change your mind, and common questions.
Before you start, understand what deletion means:
- Permanent and irreversible. Once deletion completes, your account cannot be restored.
- All points are lost. Any unredeemed Mode Points in your account are permanently forfeited.
- Vested $EARNM from Mystery Boxes is lost. If you have Mystery Boxes, consider exporting or cashing out before deleting.
- You cannot access your account during the 7-day processing window.

Steps to delete your account
Step 1: Update the app
Ensure you are using the latest version of the Mode Earn App.
Step 2: Open Settings
- Launch the Mode Earn App.
- Tap the Settings icon.
Step 3: Delete Account
- In the Account section, tap Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation prompt carefully.
- Confirm your choice.
Step 4: Processing period
Once you confirm:
- The deletion process begins and takes up to 7 days.
- During this time, you cannot log into your account.
- You receive an email confirming the deletion request, with a cancellation link.
Canceling a deletion request
If you change your mind within the 7-day processing window:
- Check your email for the cancellation message from Mode.
- Click the cancellation link in the email.
- Your account and all points are restored — no data is lost if canceled in time.
After the 7-day window ends, the deletion is final and cannot be canceled.
Frequently asked questions
Can I recover my points if I cancel the deletion?
Yes. If you cancel before the 7-day deletion period ends, your points and account information remain intact.
What happens if I try to log in during the deletion process?
You cannot access your account until deletion is completed or canceled. The app shows a message about the pending deletion.
Can I create a new account with the same email after deletion?
Yes. Once your account is permanently deleted, you may register again using the same email address. Note that you will start fresh — no points or history carry over.
Can I create a new account with the same phone number after deletion?
This varies. In some cases, the phone number remains retained to prevent abuse. If you want to use the same phone number, contact Mode Support first to confirm before attempting a new registration.
What if I have Mystery Boxes or vested $EARNM?
Before deleting, either export your wallet (for self-custody of vested crypto) or cash out. See How do I export my vested Mystery Boxes?. Deletion does not automatically recover your crypto rewards.
Is there any data Mode keeps after deletion?
Mode retains only the minimum data required for regulatory and anti-fraud purposes (for example, to prevent a banned user from simply creating a new account). Personal data used for the app experience is deleted.
