A temporarily disabled Mode Earn App account is usually caused by one of two issues: an outdated app version, or suspicious account activity detected by Mode’s fraud prevention system. This article walks through both.
Reason 1: Outdated app version
Accounts may be disabled if you are running an outdated app version (older than v1.130.0). Mode periodically raises the minimum version requirement to ensure security patches are applied and deprecated APIs are not used.
How to update
- Open the Google Play Store on Android, or the App Store on iOS.
- Search for Mode Earn App.
- Tap Update to install the latest version.
- Once updated, open the app and try again — the disabled state should clear automatically.
Reason 2: Suspicious activity detected
If unusual activity is detected on your account, Mode’s fraud prevention system may temporarily disable it as a precaution. Common triggers include:
- Rapid device switching.
- Multiple login attempts from different IP addresses in a short time.
- Login from a region very different from your usual location.
- Unusual patterns in earning activity (for example, completing many offers at superhuman speed).
What to do
Wait approximately 24 hours. The automated review typically completes within that window, and your account reactivates automatically if no issues are confirmed.
During the 24-hour review period:
- Do not try to log in repeatedly — extra attempts can extend the review.
- Do not create a new account to work around the disabled account — that triggers duplicate account flags on top of the existing issue.
- Continue using your normal device and network.
If your account is still disabled after 24 hours
If you have:
- Updated to the latest app version, and
- Waited at least 24 hours,
and your account is still disabled, contact Mode Support:
- Open the Mode Earn App (you can access the Help section even if logged out).
- Navigate to Settings → Ask for Support.
- Describe your issue in the chatbot or live chat. Include:
- Your account email.
- The error message you see when trying to log in.
- Your current app version.
- When you first noticed the disabled status.
Is this the same as account suspension?
No — “temporarily disabled” is different from “suspended.”
- Temporarily disabled (this article): automated, short-term, typically resolves within 24 hours.
- Suspended: longer-term, requires an appeal. See Account Suspension and Appeal Process.
