The Games tab in the Mode Earn App lets you earn points by playing games on your phone. This article covers the one-time setup, how games are structured, and where to find them.
One-time setup
Step 1: Accept the Terms & Conditions
The first time you open the Games tab, you're asked to accept the Terms & Conditions. This is a standard requirement before you can play and earn.
Step 2: Grant App Usage Permission
You're then asked to grant App Usage Permission to our gaming partner Adjoe. Adjoe uses this permission to track how long you play each game so it can reward you accurately.
Without App Usage Permission, you won't receive points for gameplay. If you accidentally deny it, you can re-grant permission in your phone's Settings under the Mode Earn App's permission list.
How games are structured: the Game Card
Each game in the Mode Earn App has a Game Card that shows the key details before you install it:
- Points per Minute: how many points you earn for each minute of gameplay. Some games credit every minute, others every 3 minutes.
- Total Points: the maximum number of points you can earn from that specific game. Once you reach this cap, the game is marked Completed and you no longer earn points for additional playtime.
Earn Per Minute games
Earn Per Minute (EPM) games reward you based on how long you play or use an app. These are provided by partner networks and are available in several sections of the app:
- Games tab → Earn Per Minute
- Games tab → Games & Sweepstakes (US users also receive sweepstakes entries)
- Games tab → Install & Earn (US users also receive sweepstakes entries)
- Boosters → Games
- Boosters → Installs
Important rules for EPM games
- Must be a new install. If you previously installed the game — even if you uninstalled it since — you won't receive points. Reinstalling or updating doesn't count.
- Playtime requirements change as you progress. Early levels typically pay out after shorter playtime; later reward tiers require longer play.
- Track progress under Games → My Games. When you complete a game's maximum earn cap, it's marked Completed.
- Game Details page shows the playtime needed at each reward tier so you can plan your sessions.
Pro tip: stack your earnings
Play games while listening to music in the Mode Earn App. You earn music points and game points at the same time, effectively doubling your earning rate during those sessions.
Troubleshooting
- Not receiving points for gameplay: verify App Usage Permission is granted in your phone's Settings.
