“In Progress” games in the My Games tab only include games from the Earn Per Level, Games & Sweepstakes, and Install & Earn offerings. If you started a game but do not see it under In Progress, one of the reasons below is usually why.
Reason 1: Partner confirmation delay
The games in these offerings are provided by our partners. It is normal to experience some delay between installing a game and the partner sending us confirmation. Wait a few hours — typically the game appears in In Progress within 24 hours of install.
Reason 2: You previously installed the game outside Mode
If you already have the game installed from another source (directly from the Play Store, through another rewards app, or a previous install), it will not appear as a new install. The partner tracks the game by install ID, and an existing install cannot be retroactively credited to a Mode offer.
Check your phone’s app list for the game. If it is there, you installed it before and cannot earn through Mode for it.
Reason 3: You updated an existing game
Updating a game you already have installed does not count as a new install. Even if the update came through the Mode Earn App link, the partner sees it as the same existing install.
Reason 4: You completed the game already
Once you reach the maximum Earn Points for a game, it moves from In Progress to Completed. Check the Completed section of My Games to see if the game is there.
What to do
- Wait up to 24 hours if you just installed.
- Check Completed in My Games to see if the game is already done.
- Uninstall and reinstall does not help — partners track by install history, not current install status.
- If more than 24 hours pass and you are certain the game is new to you, contact Support with the game name and approximate install time.
