When you complete an offer in the Mode Earn App, it moves through several statuses on its way to crediting points. This article explains each status, when to expect your reward, and what to do if something goes wrong.
The four offer statuses
In Progress
You've started the offer but haven't yet completed all the required steps. This is the normal state while you're working through an offer.
Pending
You've successfully completed all the required actions for the offer. The advertiser is now verifying your completion with Mode.
- Verification usually takes up to 30 days, occasionally up to 60.
- Some offers verify instantly; others take their full verification window.
- No action needed on your part during this phase — just wait for status to update.
Completed
Verification is done. Your Mode points are credited to your account. Any additional rewards from the advertiser (cashback, in-service credits, sweepstakes entries) are also applied.
Expired
You didn't complete the offer within its active time window (typically 60 days). You receive rewards only for any staged milestones you completed before expiration — the full completion reward is forfeited.
How to avoid expiration:
- Complete offer steps promptly after starting.
- Check your active offers regularly in My Activity.
- Before starting, note the offer's completion deadline in the offer details.
Discontinued
Offers can be marked Discontinued if the advertiser ends the offer early or decides not to honor it. This is outside Mode's control.
How to minimize the chance of an offer being discontinued mid-way:
- Follow every instruction carefully.
- Complete offers before they reach their end date — partners are less likely to discontinue offers still in their active window.
Reward timelines: when to expect your points
Most offer rewards are credited within 30–60 days of completion. Specifics vary:
- Instant offers: some partners credit points immediately upon completion.
- Standard offers: 30–60 days is typical for multi-step offers like app installs with gameplay requirements.
- Longer waits: occasionally offers with purchase or subscription components take longer to verify.
How to check expected timing for a specific offer
- Open the Mode Earn App.
- Go to Offers or My Activity.
- Look in the Pending section.
- Each pending offer shows the expected number of days remaining until verification completes.
What to do if your offer is stuck or missing points
- In Progress for more than 24 hours with no change: the first step likely didn't track. Don't continue completing steps — contact Support.
- Pending beyond 60 days: contact Support with the offer name and start date.
