If you need to unlink your PayPal account from the Mode Earn App — because you are changing PayPal accounts, no longer want the connection, or are troubleshooting an issue — this article walks through the process.
Step 1: Open Wallet settings
- Open the Mode Earn App on your Android device.
- Tap the Library (Wallet) icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
Step 2: Open Linked Accounts
- In the Account section, tap Linked Accounts.
- Select PayPal from the list.
Step 3: Unlink
- Tap Unlink.
- A confirmation message appears.
- Tap Unlink again to finalize.
Your PayPal account is now unlinked from the Mode Earn App.
What happens after unlinking
- Existing PayPal redemptions already in progress will still process normally — unlinking does not cancel pending payouts.
- Future PayPal redemptions are no longer possible until you relink.
- Your PayPal account itself is not affected — only the link between Mode and PayPal is removed.
- Points already earned are unchanged — you can still redeem them for other options like gift cards.
When to unlink
- You are switching to a different PayPal account.
- You no longer want Mode to be able to send funds to this PayPal.
- You are troubleshooting a PayPal redemption issue and want to start fresh.

Troubleshooting unlink issues
If you encounter issues unlinking:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
- Force-close and reopen the Mode Earn App.
- If the Unlink button does not respond, contact Mode Support (Settings → Ask for Support).
