If your Mode Earn Phone doesn’t power on or is unresponsive, the cause is usually a drained battery or a temporary software freeze. This article walks through both scenarios and how to fix them.
Issue 1: Phone does not power on
Why this happens
- Phones are shipped with very little battery charge due to airline shipping regulations.
- Even when powered off, internal components slowly drain the battery.
- If the battery reaches a critical low level, the phone may enter safe mode, which prevents it from powering on until sufficiently recharged.
How to fix it
Step 1: Charge the phone
- Connect your Mode Earn Phone to the charger using the included USB-C cable.
- Plug the charger into a working wall outlet.
- Leave the phone plugged in for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight, to fully charge.
A fully drained phone may not show a charging indicator immediately — wait 15–30 minutes before assuming the charger isn’t working.
Step 2: Turn on the phone
After charging:
- Press and hold the Power button for several seconds until the Mode logo or boot screen appears.
- Release the button and wait for the phone to fully boot (can take 30–60 seconds on first startup).
Issue 2: Phone does not respond
Why this happens
The phone may temporarily freeze due to a software issue, a stuck background process, or a system-level glitch.
How to fix it
- Press and hold the Power button for several seconds.
- If a power menu appears, select Restart.
- If no menu appears, continue holding the Power button for 10–15 seconds to force a restart.
- Wait for the phone to fully reboot.
If the device remains unresponsive, connect it to the charger and retry the steps above — the issue may be a combination of low battery and a freeze.
If the issue persists
If your Mode Earn Phone still doesn’t power on after charging overnight:
- Try a different charging cable and wall adapter. Sometimes the cable or adapter is at fault, not the phone. Use any USB-C cable and adapter that’s rated for fast charging.
- Test the power button. Make sure it’s not physically stuck, damaged, or blocked by a case. Try pressing firmly and releasing — if it feels loose or doesn’t click, the button itself may be the problem.
- Try a hard reset. Hold Power + Volume Down simultaneously for 15 seconds to force a hard reset.
- Look for signs of damage. Check for visible damage like a cracked screen, bent frame, or water exposure marks.
If none of these work, the phone may have a hardware issue. Email earn@modemobile.com with:
- Description of what happens when you try to power on.
- Whether charging indicators appear.
- Your order number or purchase date.
- Any visible damage.
