If your Mode Earn Phone is running slowly, freezing, crashing apps, or opening apps by itself, the cause is usually background app activity, outdated software, or touchscreen sensitivity. This article walks through fixes for each.
Issue 1: Phone is slow, freezes, or apps crash
Why this happens
- Too many apps running in the background consume memory and CPU.
- Outdated apps (especially the Mode Earn App) may have fixed-in-update bugs.
- Low available storage can slow everything down.
- The phone is a budget device — some heavy apps may push hardware limits.
Fix 1: Close background apps
- Tap the square icon at the bottom-right corner of the home screen to show recent apps.
- Review the list of currently running apps.
- Swipe up on each app you’re not actively using to close it.
- Tap Clear All (if available) to close everything at once.
Fix 2: Update the Mode Earn App
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Mode Earn App.
- If an update is available, tap Update.
- Restart the app once the update is complete.
Fix 3: Check available storage
- Open Settings → Storage.
- Check how much free space you have. Keep at least 2–3 GB free for smooth operation.
- If storage is full:
- Uninstall apps you don’t use.
- Clear cached data in Settings → Storage → Cached data.
- Move photos to Google Photos or an SD card.
Fix 4: Restart the phone
A simple restart often clears stuck processes and restores normal performance. Hold Power and select Restart.
Issue 2: Phone opens applications by itself
Why this happens
The Mode Earn Phone’s touchscreen is highly sensitive and may register minor touches, taps from a screen protector, or even movements in your pocket as input. This can cause apps to open unintentionally.
Fix: Adjust pointer speed
- Open Settings.
- Go to Languages & input.
- Select Pointer speed.
- Move the slider to the lowest setting to reduce touchscreen sensitivity.
- Test the phone to confirm improvement.
Additional fixes for ghost touches
- Check your screen protector. Low-quality or bubbled screen protectors can cause phantom touches. Remove or replace it.
- Check your phone case. A tight case can press on the screen edges — try without the case.
- Clean the screen. Dirt, moisture, or fingerprint grease can register as touches.
- Check for screen damage. If the screen is cracked or damaged, ghost touches may require repair or replacement.
If issues persist
- Check for system updates. Settings → System → Software Update.
- Uninstall unused apps. Each installed app uses some resources.
- Factory reset as a last resort. See How to Reset Your Mode Earn Phone. Back up first — this erases everything.

Setting expectations
The Mode Earn Phone is a budget-friendly device. It’s suitable for everyday use and all Mode Earn App features, but graphically intensive games or demanding apps may not perform at the level of premium phones. Some slowness under heavy load is normal.

14. How to Fix Text Messaging Issues on the Mode Earn Phone ID 31057823994004 • Open in Zendesk POLISH Editor notes: Cleaner structure. Cross-linked to APN canonical. Suggested labels: text messaging not working, sms not sending, mms not working, text receive issue, carrier sms, apn messaging, messaging troubleshooting Source code (paste into Zendesk’s Source view):
If your Mode Earn Phone can’t send or receive text messages, the issue is usually either your carrier account settings or incorrect APN (Access Point Name) configuration. This article walks through the fixes.
Quick check: SMS vs. MMS
First, identify what’s failing:
- SMS (plain text messages): short messages without images or video.
- MMS (multimedia messages): messages with photos, videos, group chats, or emoji.
MMS requires mobile data and specific APN settings; SMS does not. If SMS works but MMS doesn’t, it’s almost always an APN/data issue.
Step 1: Verify text messaging service is active
- Contact your mobile service provider.
- Confirm SMS/text messaging service is enabled on your account — some basic plans are voice-only.
- For MMS specifically, confirm your plan includes mobile data (MMS uses data).
- Ask if there are any network outages affecting messaging in your area.
Step 2: Check APN (Access Point Name) settings
Incorrect or missing APN settings — especially the MMSC, MMS Proxy, and MMS Port fields — are the most common cause of messaging failures on the Mode Earn Phone.
- Visit your carrier’s official support website.
- Search for “APN settings” for your carrier.
- Pay special attention to the MMS-related fields:
- MMSC (URL for multimedia messaging)
- MMS Proxy
- MMS Port
- Compare with your phone’s current APN settings (Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Advanced → Access Point Names).
- Update any incorrect values.
- Save and restart the phone.
For full APN setup walkthrough, see How to Fix “No Service” or Missing Signal on the Mode Earn Phone.
Step 3: Check messaging app settings
- Open the Messages app.
- Tap the menu (three dots) → Settings.
- Verify:
- Default SMS/MMS app is set to Messages (or your preferred app).
- Auto-download MMS is enabled.
- MMS is enabled (for some carriers, this is a separate toggle).
Step 4: Check mobile data (for MMS)
MMS requires mobile data to work, even when Wi-Fi is active:
- Pull down the notification shade.
- Verify Mobile Data is turned on.
- Check Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → confirm mobile data is enabled and not restricted.
If the issue persists
- Restart your phone to refresh network connections.
- Test the SIM in another phone. If messaging works there, the issue is with the Mode Earn Phone’s setup.
- Contact your carrier. Some messaging issues are account-side and require their help.
- Clear the Messages app cache. Settings → Apps → Messages → Storage → Clear Cache (not Clear Data, which deletes message history).
