Getting Started with Your Mode Earn Phone

Congratulations on your new Mode Earn Phone! This guide walks through the initial setup so you can start earning as quickly as possible. The full setup takes 15–30 minutes including firmware updates.

Before you begin

  • Wi-Fi connection required. Firmware updates and initial app installs need Wi-Fi.
  • Google account. You’ll need a Google account to download the Mode Earn App from the Play Store.
  • Charge the phone fully. Phones ship with minimal battery — plug in and charge to at least 50% before starting setup.

Step 1: Update the firmware

Check for firmware updates before installing any apps — this ensures you’re on the latest version with all bug fixes.

The latest firmware available is EarnUI 1.3.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to System → Advanced → System Update.
  3. Tap Check for Update.
  4. If an update is available, the phone downloads it and restarts automatically.

Step 2: Factory reset (recommended after firmware update)

After a firmware update, Mode recommends a factory reset to ensure a clean baseline:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. In the top search bar, type reset.
  3. Select Factory Reset.
  4. Confirm and wait for the phone to reset (takes 5–10 minutes).

Skip this step if you’ve already configured the phone with accounts and settings. A factory reset erases everything.

Step 3: Complete initial device setup

After the factory reset, complete the standard Android setup:

  1. Select your language.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  3. Sign in with your Google account.
  4. Set up a screen lock (PIN, pattern, or fingerprint recommended).
  5. Complete the remaining on-screen prompts.

Step 4: Install and update the Mode Earn App

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Mode Earn App.
  3. Install the app (or tap Update if already installed).
  4. Open the Mode Earn App and sign in.

Step 5: Enable earning features

Once the Mode Earn App is installed:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Enable Charge Screen to earn while charging.
  3. Enable Lock Screen to earn when you unlock your phone.

Safety information

  • Avoid exposing your phone to water, rain, or damp environments. The Mode Earn Phone is not waterproof.
  • Do not expose the phone to direct sunlight for extended periods or leave it in a hot car.
  • Do not bend, puncture, or modify the battery.
  • Always use the charger and cable provided in the box (or a compatible Type-C charger).
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the phone — this voids the warranty.
