Understanding Metro by T-Mobile Device Policy

Metro requires customers to notify them when changing devices.

Although Metro may indicate that the Mode Earn Phone is unsupported, the device is fully compatible with Metro’s GSM, 3G, and 4G LTE bands.
How to Connect Your Metro SIM Card
You have two main options for connecting your Metro SIM to the Mode Earn Phone.
Option 1: Visit a Metro Store

Locate any Metro by T-Mobile store near you.

Request an IMEI Update

Provide the following information to Metro staff:

Your Metro phone number

Your account PIN
-
IMEI number of the Mode Earn Phone (IMEI 1 or IMEI 2)

Insert the SIM Card

If you provide IMEI 1, insert the SIM card into Slot 1 of your Mode Earn Phone.

Note: Metro stores may charge a fee of $15–$20 for this service. This fee is not covered by Mode Mobile.
Option 2: Use Metro’s Automated Service

Prepare Your Old Phone

Insert your Metro SIM card into your previous device.

Call Metro by T-Mobile Automated Service

Dial 228 to connect.

Follow the Prompts

Provide the following information:

Your current Metro phone number (find by dialing #686#)

Your 8-digit security PIN

Either IMEI 1 or IMEI 2 of the Mode Earn Phone

You only need to provide one IMEI number for the dual SIM Mode Earn Phone.
