The Lock Screen feature in the Mode Earn App lets you earn points each time you unlock your phone. It also gives you quick access to daily offers and the Music Player without opening the full app. This article covers how to enable it, how earning works, and how to manage the feature.
What the Lock Screen feature offers
- Point earning: earn points every time you unlock your phone.
- Daily offers: special time-limited deals displayed directly on the Lock Screen.
- Music Player shortcut: open Mode’s Music Player from the Lock Screen.
How to enable the Lock Screen feature
- Open the Mode Earn App.
- Go to Settings.
- Turn on Lock Screen.
- The Lock Screen now appears automatically every time you unlock your device.
Using the Lock Screen
When the Lock Screen appears, you can:
- Swipe to access your phone’s home screen (normal unlock).
- Tap a Lock Screen offer to open the Mode Earn App with more details.
- Tap the Music Player to start listening.
How earnings work
- Points per unlock: you earn points each time you unlock your phone, up to a standard daily rate.
- Unlocking more does not add more points. The system rewards natural usage patterns, not artificial frequency.
- Day-to-day variation is normal. See Why Do My Lock Screen Reward Amounts Vary Day-to-Day?.
Managing the Lock Screen
Turn off entirely
Disable the Lock Screen in the Mode Earn App Settings menu. Disabling stops point earning from unlocks until you re-enable.
Temporary snooze
If you need the Lock Screen gone for a short time (e.g., during a meeting) but do not want to disable it permanently, use Snooze:
- On any Lock Screen, tap the menu icon in the top right corner.
- Select Snooze.
- Choose a duration.
Snoozing pauses the feature temporarily without changing your settings. Point earning also pauses during snooze.
Troubleshooting
