The Mode Earn App is designed to be efficient, but if you’re seeing more data or battery usage than expected, this article covers ways to reduce both without significantly affecting your earnings.
Step 1: Manage mobile data and Wi-Fi
Turn off when not in use
- Disable mobile data and Wi-Fi when you’re not actively using your phone.
- This prevents other apps from consuming data and battery in the background.
- Particularly useful if you leave your phone idle for long periods with the Charge Screen running.
Use Wi-Fi where possible
Wi-Fi generally uses less battery than cellular data. If you’re at home or work, connect to Wi-Fi to reduce battery drain from constant cellular scanning.
Step 2: Close background apps
- End apps you aren’t actively using.
- Background apps can drain battery and use data even when you’re not interacting with them.
- A cleaner app list also helps the Mode Earn App run faster.
Step 3: Reduce screen-based earning while on battery
If you’re concerned about battery specifically:
- Music earning has minimal battery impact — safe to run on battery.
- Charge Screen only activates when plugged in, so it doesn’t drain battery.
- Games and Videos use the most battery — consider playing these when plugged in.
Step 4: Check your phone’s battery optimization
Android and iOS both offer battery-saving modes:
- Android: Settings → Battery → enable Battery Saver or Adaptive Battery.
- iOS: Settings → Battery → Low Power Mode.
Trade-off: aggressive battery saving can interfere with Charge Screen and Lock Screen features. If you use those features, whitelist the Mode Earn App from battery optimization — see Troubleshooting Charge Screen or Lock Screen Issues for how.
Step 5: Check data usage settings
Many phones let you set data limits per app:
- Android: Settings → Connections → Data usage → Mobile data usage → Mode Earn App. You can set a warning or limit here.
- iOS: Settings → Cellular → scroll down to Mode Earn App. Toggle cellular data off if you only want it on Wi-Fi.
If issues persist
If battery or data usage seems unusually high even after these steps:
- Contact Mode Support through Settings → Ask for Support.
- Provide:
- Device type.
- OS version.
- Mode Earn App version (Settings → gear icon → scroll to bottom).
- What you were doing when the issue occurred.
- A screenshot of your Battery usage page showing the Mode Earn App’s consumption if possible.
