Occasionally a Mystery Box reveal fails because of blockchain issues or network congestion. Instead of losing your points, you receive a free reveal credit to use later. This article explains what happens when a reveal fails and how to continue earning new Mystery Boxes.
Why did my Mystery Box reveal fail?
Reveals can fail for several reasons:
- Heavy Polygon network traffic.
- Temporary technical issue with the wallet provider or dApp.
- Interrupted connection at the moment of confirmation.
Failed reveals are automatically detected by the system.
Do I get my points back?
No — instead of refunding your points, Mode gives you a free reveal credit. This way you do not lose anything and you still get to claim your Mystery Box without spending more points. For details on how credits work, see How Do Free Mystery Box Reveals Work?
How do I use my free reveal credit?
The next time you open the Mystery Box reveal screen, you see a message letting you know you have a free reveal available. Tap Reveal for Free to use it.
Can I still earn new Mystery Boxes while I have free reveal credits?
Yes. Free reveal credits affect only how you redeem failed reveals — they do not stop you from earning new Mystery Boxes through other means, such as:
- Redeeming points for a Mystery Box in the Redeem tab.
- Daily streak rewards (where available in your region).
- Sweepstakes entries and other regional promotions.
