Sometimes it can be really frustrating to not know what’s going on - and we want an answer as soon as possible. So here is your way of finding out exactly what is going on without having to wait for customer support to check it for you (and they are doing the same thing as we’re going to explain to you here).
The magic word here is “Polygonscan” - this is basically like an X-ray that lets you look into what’s going on in the blockchain world. Specifically on Polygon, which is the blockchain that the Mystery Boxes are being handled on.
So buckle up - because this is going to go quite deep and empower you to understand exactly the status of your Mystery Boxes and what your next step should be:
- Log into the dApp with the wallet that you have revealed your Mystery Boxes with.
- Click on the number over “Wallet Connected” that’s circled in pink (or you can also click on that short number at the top bar next to the question mark) and then click on the full string that you see under all that text of “Connected Wallet” in the screenshot next to it (that copies the string for you automatically)
- Now go to https://polygonscan.com/ and enter your wallet address into the search bar
This will open a page with a detailed view of what is going on in your wallet - we’ll call it your wallet ledger for now. - Next click on the “NFT Transfers” chip - which filters your wallet activity to only show things related to NFTs. Why is that important? Because your Mystery Boxes are a type of NFT that will thus be easier to spot on your wallet activity.
- Look for a pattern where you see “NFT#1, NFT#2, NFT#3, NFT#4, NFT#5, NFT#6”. Remember that there are 6 rarity tiers with Mystery Boxes? One Mystery Box revelation shows on your Polygonscan wallet ledger always in that pattern of 6 lines of the different NFT tiers.
- Scroll a bit further down so that you see the complete picture with all the 1-6 NFT tiers. In this example, this wallet had two Mystery Box revelations 148 days ago. You can also see how many Mystery Boxes and what kind of tier they had in this revelation. In the lower one, the person got 4 boxes of the lowest tier and that was it. In the second revelation, they got 3 of the lowest tier and 2 of the second lowest tier, so 5 in total. All the rest where there is nothing written next to the “NFT” label means that there was no Mystery Box in that tier.
- Hover over the “x days ago” to see when that transaction was in detail. That way, if you’ve had several, it is easy for you to see when which one came in.
So - what does that tell us?
If you go to your dApp and you don’t see your Mystery Boxes there, the first thing is to check here on Polygonscan. If they’re there but not on your dApp: refresh your dApp.
If you don’t see the Mystery Boxes that you have revealed after a max of half a day (~12 hours) on Polygonscan, something went wrong and you should reach out to customer support.
There you go, you can now officially read what’s going on in your wallet! Congrats!
How do I create a crypto wallet that I can then connect with the EARN’M dApp?
Having a crypto wallet is the prerequisite for you to be able to reveal your Mystery Boxes. There are a lot of crypto wallets out there, however, the one that we recommend - simply due to its great documentation and the many years that it has already existed without any issues - is the MetaMask wallet. Here is a great tutorial on how to set it up on your desktop: How To Setup MetaMask Wallet Desktop Version | A Beginner’s Guide | DOMINO DEX
Later on, we’ll also be providing one to walk you through how to do it on mobile - however, you don’t need to wait for it as it is this:
- Go to the Google PlayStore for MetaMask
- Install MetaMask
- Open the MetaMask app and follow its instructions to set up your wallet
From there, click on the network selector that per default says “Ethereum Main Network” (you see it on the screenshots below in the top middle section) and connect instead with the Polygon network (“Polygon Mainnet”) as that’s the one the EARN’M dApp is on.
After that’s done, go back to the EARN’M dApp and click “Connect Wallet”. It will ask you to choose the wallet you want to connect with. Select “MetaMask” in case you went with our suggestion.
This will bring up MetaMask and ask you to sign a message that allows you to connect with the EARN’M dApp.
Voilà - you’re connected.
Per default that connected will stay connected unless you clear your internet browser’s cache, upload or change your internet browser, or manually disconnect your wallet.
